Following on from my last post where I learnt about the ‘Rimpa’ school of Japanese painting, I thought it might be interesting to compare my artwork before and after I had seen the original paintings. Is it any better? You decide…

    The new ones are more lush and textured, but I still like the first one for its stark contrast. I’m undecided.

    “After” are definitely different but, there is some clarity in the “before” ones

    Thanks for the feedback, i think i’d like to return and make some more after having a few months without even thinking about it, i took some new foliage photos over the summer, hopefull i’ll get time to work them up soon!
